A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so that it can recognise your browser on a later request. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage — do the same job by different means and are covered by this policy too.
Cookies are not inherently a privacy problem. Whether one is depends entirely on what it records and who can read it.

We do not set advertising pixels, cross-site identifiers or retargeting tags. There is nothing on this site that follows you elsewhere.
Where we ask for analytics consent, you can change or withdraw it at any time through the cookie controls on this site. Withdrawing consent stops further collection; it does not retroactively delete what was collected while consent was in place, though you can ask us to delete that too.
You can also control cookies in your browser directly — every major browser lets you block or delete them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working, which is an unavoidable consequence rather than a design choice.
The tool session storage is not tracking
When you give an email address for one calculator, we store it in your browser’s session storage so the next calculator does not ask again. It never leaves your browser except in the request you initiate, it is cleared when you close the tab, and it is not used to identify you elsewhere.
